| Why You Being Creative Is Vital |
| “Art Explosion” was launched by nationally known artist and educator Lois A. Wittich thirty two years ago as an experimental project for Ford Foundation students, with no art background, attending the University of Hawaii. Today, “Art Explosion has evolved into a powerful personal development and team building tool.
“Art Explosion” is designed and implemented to reach into the energetics within each participants’ cellular structure, by- passing the limited mental capacity, thereby unlocking and unleashing an unlimited flow of each person’s unique visual expression. Wittich is an expert at making this happen.
New physical energy connections within the body are directly made using well tested, simple body exercises, along with a variety of fine art projects. A range of media on different paper surfaces and canvas, keeps the creative connection within, ongoing and strong. There is an immersion of the body ----including the head, hand and heart which integrates and kicks in creative thinking and active doing.
“It’s possible to chug down the road on a couple of cylinders, but how smooth and enjoyable the journey when popping on all cylinders.” says Wittich.
“Art Explosion is above all, serious fun. A non-judgmental, safe and and exciting environment is continually generated by Wittich. She is personal with each participant so they know what is happening to them moment to moment in a fast paced and easy agenda. In nine hours -- three sessions of 3 hours each--- “Art Explosion” is comparable to one year’s worth of teaching. How powerful is that?
Each person will create at least two gallery quality paintings to enjoy and see in their home or workplace. And what about selling?
Myths, mysteries and taboos surrounding creativity are easily shattered. This further enables participants to free up their artistry in order to tap into new ideas, and to find new ways to approach problem solving. |
| Lasting benefits of “Art Explosion” are: |

Self confidence and worthiness

"I did Lois Wittich Art Explosion class and experienced a new confidence in myself. Lois is a great teacher and was amazing at how she encouraged me to go beyond what I thought I was capable of. A very dynamic teacher"
Lynne, Business Owner
"Before taking Art Explosion I was absolutely convinced that I had NO talent for painting. Thanks to Lois’ masterful and passionate guidance I sold one of my paintings afterwards in a public gallery."
Otto Siegel, MCC, M.Ed. Founder and President of Genius Coaching, LLC, Phoenix, AZ
"I had one of the most beautiful experience’s of my life around creativity when I did Lois' Art Explosion program. It was just that for me very explosive. It was not that I had any inhibitions to become a professional artist, it was just through Lois- anne’s guidance that I had a great experience in being able to express myself, in a way through color and forms that I didn’t know was in me. It opened up a new dimension of my person and a gave me balance in my life that I am very grateful today to Lois ann for and her ability to bring that out in me."
James R. Strole, Author, Speaker, Director of "People Unlimited Inc."
"Lois invited me to join her Art Explosion program. I had never drawn or painted before and never thought I was talented but since my favorite friends joined, I agreed to join as well. When doing Lois's class I experienced that learning something new didn't have to be a struggle with lots of hours of practicing
until you accomplish something. No, she did draw the creativity out of all of us participants and from the first session to the last session
every time we all produced incredible art. Many of the pieces I did during her program are still decorating our house and people ask us
all the time who the artist is. They are as surprised as I was in regards to the talent I actually have. I was not the only talented
one. Everyone who participated in Lois's class was surprised how talented they were. Thanks Lois for a wonderful experience. You are
the best teacher I've ever had!!

The following are writings Lois has come across over the years about what creativity is and how important it is as well as her own observations:
Every person has their own unique creative expression. It’s a matter of getting in touch with yours and directly experiencing what begins to flow out of you.
Creativity has nothing to do with struggle. It’s letting go of your control.
The beauty of creative painting is that there is no right or wrong. Simply, you are doing you. Expect the unexpected and enjoy the freedom of that.
Listening to what is happening as you create is investing more in your work than actually doing.
Overabundance of judgment won’t give your ideas a chance.
Receptivity to new ideas is the very foundation of creativity. Be willing to suspend judgment, let go of your assumptions and stop having to be right.
Be willing to hang out in the unknown.
Nothing is as dangerous as an idea when it’s the only one we have...the ability to generate lots of ideas unearths your creative spirit.
Incubate yourself. This is the awareness level suspended between the conscious and unconscious minds. Taking time out is one of the most powerful ways you can honor your creativity...to know your body’s rhythm.
Nothing stifles creativity like fear of change. The power of changing your attitude to embrace change cannot be overstated. When you change your attitude, seemingly insurmountable obstacles can be mastered and you begin to take charge of your life.
There is nothing of which we are more ashamed than of not being ourselves. And there is nothing which brings us greater joy and happiness than to think, feel and to say what is ours.
Schools don’t reward coming up with many right answers or creative approaches, they reward only one right answer. No wonder we’re afraid to make mistakes.
We do not stop playing because we grow old. We grow old because we stop playing.
A signal event in the creative process is the burst of illumination that generally strikes independently of conscious control.
You can, if you desire to, make any changes in your life. And as you paint, you can change anything you don’t want to keep. Nothing is impossible.
There’s always another chance for you. You may have a fresh start any moment you choose, for the thing we call failure is not the falling down, But the staying down.
Mary Pickford
Creativity is motivated by a divine discontent which is part of man’s biological endowment.
Secrets of the Inner Mind
Many investigators have abandoned the long-held view that creativity is the gift of a silent few and have embraced instead the notion that the quality can be cultivated and encouraged in all persons.
Secrets of the Inner Mind
What we give to is what we get. What a person can conceive can be achieved.
Lou Tice
If you think you can, you can. And if you think you can’t, you’re right.
Henry Ford
“Rigidity is the arch-enemy of your creative genie. Rigid people have hardening of the attitudes.”
Salli Rasberry and Padi Seluryn |
